Description:
- Structure: Horizontal, U-shaped trough with a centrally mounted shaft.
- Agitator: Equipped with inner and outer helical ribbons (or "blades"). The outer ribbon moves materials toward the center, while the inner ribbon moves them toward the ends, creating a counter-current, convective, and shear-mixing action.
- Efficiency: Achieves 90–95% homogeneity typically within 5–15 minutes.
